Facebook Now Connects Constituents And Representatives In New ‘Town Hall’ Feature

Social media website Facebook’s role in disseminating “fake news” has been the source of hot scrutiny in the months following the 2016 presidential election, which had many analysts criticizing the social media website as not taking proper precautionary measures against the growing phenomenon, something CEO Mark Zuckerberg has attempted to downplay in recent months.

Nevertheless, with the “Resistance” movement showing no signs of relenting, Facebook quietly released a new feature today that allows constituents to directly connect with their representatives in Government through phone, e-mail, and other forms of communication.

The measure seems to be the first in Facebook’s attempts to respond to the criticisms. Learn more on about the Town Hall feature here.
